1st Hellenic – Albanian Cooperation Workshop in the Agricultural Sector

Agriculture
and livestock are considered major sectors for the economic development of
Albania, with increasing participation in the Gross Domestic Product of the country
and employment, as well as a remarkable contribution to the Albanian exports.



In
the framework of a continuous strategic partnership, Greece and Albania, two
neighboring countries, can work together to obtain mutual benefits, by
transfering know-how regarding cultivation techniques and the use of technology
in order to increase production and input from the agricultural sector.



Recognizing
the potential for synergies the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of
the Embassy of Greece in Albania organizes the 1st Hellenic – Albanian Cooperation Workshop in the agricultural sector,
in Korca, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 10:30 hrs, at the Grand Palace Korce Hotel,
with the title “Growing ideas & opportunities”.



Experts
from Greece will develop topics of interest to Albanian businessmen and experts
of the agricultural sector, such as farmers and producers, academics and
experts, agronomists, breeders, traders and distributors of fertilizers, plant nurseries
and seeds, as well as other agricultural products, etc. The workshop focus on:
Arboriculture and Aromatic Plants, Animal production, Certification and
Laboratories, Information systems in agriculture, Financial instruments and
R&D programs.



The
event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural
Development and Water Management and will be honored by the presence of the
Minister Mr. Edmond Panariti.
