Fuel price in Albania remain in high levels despite the fact that around 30% of the quantity marketed comes from Ballsh Oil Refinery.
Albania ranked at 15th place in a list published on Wednesday by Fuel Prices Europe site with an oil price of EUR 1.25, equivalent to ALL 169. Meanwhile the oil price in Kosovo is EUR 1, while in Macedonia this prices goes down to 80 cents. According to this site only a few developed European countries have higher oil prices compared to Albania, while the majority of the Balkans countries offer much lower prices.
Meanwhile the oil price in Albania is still high, despite the injection in the domestic market since last September of large quantities of oil produced by the Ballsh Oil Refinery.
The latest official data released by the Ministry of Finances show a 38% decrease of the oil import compared to the past year due to the increased productive capacities of the Ballsh Refinery.
