Third Ministerial Conference "Promotion of Culture for Sustainable Development", organized by the Ministry of Culture, which holds the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe “CMCSSE”, was held on Wednesday in Tirana. Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama was among the participants in this conference. In a brief speech he underlined the fact that Balkas lives since many years under the ugliness aggression. According to him the budget allocated for the culture is never sufficient.

European Union ambassador in Albania, Romana Vlahutin declared that the union continues to support the cultural heritage promotion in Albania. She stressed the importance of this investment aiming to protect the cultural heritage as the only way to promote tourism and country’s development.

“We should all cooperate for the protection of the cultural heritage. USD 4.5 million have been invested so far in defense of country’s cultural heritage. Some of the country’s most distinct values are already under UNESCO’s protection,” said Vlahutin.
