The World Economic Forum (WEF) confirmed on Tuesday the perception that economic growth in Albania is not equally distributed and has not been comprehensive. WEF compared the comprehensive growth with nearly every country's economic growth.
Albania ranked in the orange zone, that with high concentration where country Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rose with higher rhythms compared to the comprehensive growth. In other words, a minority benefited from country's economic growth, while the positive economic progress was not translated into a well-being increase for the majority.
The data shows that the report between GDP and comprehensive growth in Albania deteriorated during last 5-years. The trend shows a 5.6% decrease of this report, evidencing a negative development of the economic growth distribution, where the benefits are concentrating in the minority's hands.
