Albania’s touristic areas like Saranda, Gjirokastra, Berat and Permet will benefit from a World Bank (WB) project which foresees a USD 65 million loan for investments in the tourism sector.

According to this agreement signed at the halls of maps, close to the Premier’s office, this loan will be administrated through the regional development project, mostly in tourist areas of these southern cities.

Prime Minister, Edi Rama declared that this project is closely related to the executive’s national program of urban renaissance, which in his opinion has an impact on tourism growth. Tourism’s development generates higher chances of employment, PM Rama said.
